Portrait & History

Founded in the late 1950’s in Switzerland, Oskar Diener AG specialized in the manufacture of 'difficult to make' precision metal parts. As business grew they were asked to produce more complex sub-assemblies – including small pumps – for medical equipment.
The company’s first goal was to lower the gear and piston pump manufacturing costs by redesigning the pump components. Engineering worked with customers and manufacturing to simplify the product line and enhance material properties. Manufacturing invented new production techniques and quickly reduced cycle times. Sales and Marketing blanketed the medical markets with the new range of gear and piston pumps.

2000

Work spaces were optimized for employee comfort and productivity. Manufacturing cells were equipped with sophisticated measuring instruments. The end results were improvements in component quality, lower lead times, and the high employee motivation that comes from successfully working as a team.

2001

The California facility was completed and is home to both our new product development group and our North American sales group. The facility is an engineer’s dream, with full access to machining tools and test equipment.

2005

Diener Precision Pumps decided to complement its pump products by introducing a new line of solenoid valves. The original valve products were specifically for hemodialysis machines, but have since been expanded to include valves for food/beverage, printing, and immuno-assay industries.

2007

Construction of a new ISO Class 7 clean-room made it possible to provide sterilized products, benefitting customers in the medical and food/beverage markets.

Today

Diener Precision Pumps continues to enjoy the success that comes from enjoying what we do – working with our customers to develop and manufacture high quality pumps and valves. We welcome new challenges with the enthusiasm that comes from knowing we have the best tools and the most knowledgeable employees in the industry.
